A Set of Lil Davis Tinsel Town Chipboard Shapes in "Snow" Color

And...A Pair of Limited Edition Fiskars Breast Cancer Awareness Scissors!!

To keep the contest fair, your comments won't show up on our blog until tomorrow but rest assured, they are "saved" so there is no need to post multiple times. Only one entry per person, per day please.

Tomorrow before noon we'll draw one name from the correct responses to win the prize!! Comments close at midnight each day.

As we decorate and prepare for the holidays many of us don't think about candles, fires, and busy ovens that can put our families and homes at risk. In the spirit of raising awareness, please visit the Be Fire Smart Website from Liberty Mutual and find the Fire Escape Plan. There are great informative videos on there and sections for parents, children and educators. It definitely inspired me talk to my husband about a escape plan. We had never done this before. Although I did go out and buy fire extinguishers a few years ago!

TODAY'S QUESTION: What is the first thing they list to do when creating a fire escape floor plan?
Hint: Click On the Parents Tab when you go to the website.

BONUS QUESTION: What event did Scrapbook Royalty host this year for the victims of the 2007 California Wildfires?

If your name is drawn and you have the Bonus Answer correct, we'll add another goodie to your prize pack! Good luck!

The first thing to do when creating a fire escape floor plan is to talk with family members and plan at least two escape routes from every room in your house.

The Rebuilding Memories Crop was held Feb. 2, 2008, for the Victims of the Wild Fires.

The first thing to do for a fire safety plan is to draw a rectangle showing all rooms of your house. The kids can draw in with crayons things that appear in the rooms.

Create a fire escape floor plan:
• Start by drawing a rectangle on a piece of paper. Draw one for each room of your home.
Then draw in all doors and windows. Your children can use crayons to draw in beds, tables, etc.

Bonus: "Families Affected by the Fires" a multi-effort crop to raise funds, help families who lost so much, and I remember Cheryl Waters, Fiskateer Lead was there.

Create a Fire Escape Floor Plan
*Start by drawing a rectangle on a piece of paper. Draw one for each room of your home.
*Then draw in all doors and windows. Your children can use crayons to draw in beds, tables, etc.
*In one color, draw a line that shows the fastest way out of each room. Then, in another
color, draw another line that shows the second fastest way out.
*Now that you have your fire escape plan, make sure everyone in the family studies it.
